Jojic is a 20-year-old who can play as an attacking midfielder or on either wing, but is at his best on the right flank.

He was playing in his homeland of Serbia for Mladost Lucuni, in the Serbian top division.

After breaking out in the 23/24 campaign, scoring two goals in five league games, he would become a regular in the 23/24 campaign, scoring eight goals in 38 league games at the age of 19, with Lucuni finishing in the bottom half of the table.

Stoke saw enough to bring Jojic in for a reported fee of €1.4 million, a reasonably big outlay for what was a massive risk.

Stoke had been looking at the European market intensely in the summer, with Jojic being one of five players they signed outside the UK & Ireland.

Ryan Mmaee came in from Ferencvaros in Hungary, Andre Vidigal from Maritimo in Portugal, Mehdi Leris from Italian side Sampdoria, and Wouter Burger from Basel.
