Is there anything better than watching an NHL player make a young fan’s day? They’re the moments that often go viral, like when former Wild forward Charlie Coyle made a boy giddy just by waving back at him. Another viral moment happened during Minnesota’s game against Edmonton on Tuesday night in St. Paul. Desperately hoping to get a puck, a boy’s eyes welled with tears as his hopes seemed to fade. But not all heroes wear capes.Mats Zuccarello, in his first year with the Wild, saved the day. He used his hockey stick to flip a puck over the glass to a girl, who reached across the upset boy and gave it to the boy standing next to him. Then another puck from Zuccarello, this time caught by the boy who already had one. He gave it to the girl who gifted him the puck, who then stole the world’s heart by offering it to the boy who wanted one so badly. Tears be gone! Here’s video of the viral moment.Twins Cities radio host Carly Zucker, who is married to Wild player Jason Zucker, has since asked the public to help identify the kids so they get more pucks.
